Shweta Tripathi is recognized as one of the most adaptable actresses in the film industry. She is now poised to embark on a new journey as a producer, with plans to develop a series and a slice-of-life film. Additionally, she has provided insights into the scripts and announced the anticipated timeline for her show’s production.

In a recent interview with Mid-Day, Shweta Tripathi discussed her forthcoming projects, revealing her intention to produce both a series and a slice-of-life film.

The actress expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming love, support, and respect she has received from the industry, critics, and audiences alike, which has inspired her to share her own narratives. "Filmmaking is a collaborative endeavor, and I wish to engage deeply in every facet of it. With women gaining greater agency and opportunities, this moment feels particularly ripe for celebrating such positive transformations," stated the Mirzapur star.

Regarding her projects, Tripathi mentioned that she is in the process of developing a series and a slice-of-life film. If all goes according to plan, she aims to commence production by mid-2025.

“I am currently focused on my inaugural project. This new chapter fills me with excitement as it allows me to work alongside talented storytellers. I aspire to create a platform for narratives that ignite meaningful discussions, challenge societal norms, and inspire change. While acting will always remain my passion, producing provides me with an opportunity to contribute to the industry in a fresh and rewarding manner,” she elaborated.

On the work front, the actress recently appeared in Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Season 2, which premiered on Netflix on November 22. The storyline follows Vikrant (Tahir Raj Bhasin), who finds himself ensnared in a perilous situation after his wife Shikha (Shweta Tripathi) marries a high-ranking police officer, while his former love, Purva (Anchal Singh), is abducted by Jalaan (Arunoday Singh).

Shweta is poised to appear in Mirzapur The Film, which is a cinematic adaptation of the acclaimed Amazon Prime Video crime series, Mirzapur. The film is slated for release in 2026. In addition to her, the cast includes Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, and Abhishek Banerjee.
