The trailer kicks off with a couple enjoying their time at the beach, while the woman shares her struggles with some haunting feelings. We see her having fun in the water, but there are also glimpses of something unsettling lurking beneath the surface. When asked about her return, she mentions someone named Felix who has passed away. The film carries a dark vibe as we watch Shruti Haasan navigate a rollercoaster of emotions, from deep pain to desperation and fiery passion. As the music builds, so do her feelings. Will she end up being consumed by her own emotions?

All we know about The Eye

This psychological thriller is set to premiere on February 27 at the WENCH Film Festival in Mumbai. Directed by Daphne Schmon and written by Emily Carlton, the film is notable for being led by a female creative and production team. It’s also the first sustainably produced film in Greece, thanks to a partnership with Fingerprint Content and Greenshoot. The release date for The Eye hasn’t been announced yet.

The story follows a young widow who returns to the island where her husband died to scatter his ashes. As she uncovers the possible reasons behind his death, she faces a chilling choice that could bring him back.

Shruti Haasan is currently involved in the Tamil movie Coolie, which features Rajinikanth as the main star and is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
