Stree 2, featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles, has just broken another record. This time, Shraddha beat her Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (TJMM) co-star Ranbir Kapoor's worldwide Box Office records. Stree 2 has overpowered Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role at the worldwide Box Office. Next stop? Deepika Padukone's Kalki 2898 AD.

Stree 2 day 19 worldwide Box Office

On its 19th day, which was a Monday nonetheless, Stree 2 earned Rs. 6.5 crores, according to Sacnilk. This took the Box Office collections to Rs. 508 crores net and Rs. 700 crores gross worldwide.

Stree 2 overpowers Animal

Animal's lifetime Box Office collection worldwide is Rs. 505 crores. Stree 2 sailed past that easily and is now looking at coming close to, if not crossing, the benchmark set by Kalki 2898 AD.

Stree 2 now the second highest grossing film of 2024

With Rs. 700 crores gross, Stree 2 is now the second highest grossing film of 2024. If the movie manages to mint Rs. 300 crores more over the next few weeks, it would have beaten Kalki 2898 AD to become the highest grossing Bollywood movie of the year. The question now is, can any other film can come close to achieving the feat this year?

Can Stree 2 break the records of Kalki 2898 AD?

Although the Box Office business of Stree 2 has slowed down for obvious reasons (it is in week 3), it is bound to remain in theatres for a long time to come. Despite that, one cannot ignore that Stree 2 is currently a little beyond half-way there, so it does have an upper hand and might cross Rs. 1000-crore mark (which is Kalki 2898 AD's lifetime collection) but that would take time and with the current re-releases, the Box Office for the movie could go further down. Nonetheless, Stree 2 has come out as a strong competitor and it could definitely come very close to beating the records. Whether it actually can though, remains to be seen.
