Regarded as one of the most prolific actors in Kannada cinema, Century Star Shivarajkumar has dedicated the past few months exclusively to his recovery. The actor has been fighting cancer since March of the previous year, which required him to undergo bladder removal and reconstruction surgery in December in the United States. He returned to India at the end of January and has been prioritizing rest. While his doctors have cleared him to return to work, albeit with limitations on strenuous activities, Shivarajkumar has opted to extend his period of relaxation and recuperation.

In a recent interview, Shivarajkumar disclosed that he is now managing his neobladder condition effectively and is prepared to return to work. His initial project will be the set of his forthcoming 131st film, which is directed by Karthik Adwaith. The film carries the tagline, "Violence has a new name – Deva," although it will take additional time before Shivarajkumar can engage in action sequences as he did previously. Following open surgery to modify parts of his small intestine to form a new bladder, he still experiences challenges with bending and often feels fatigued.

At this stage, Shivarajkumar plans to film scenes that are less physically demanding, which will allow him to complete a segment of the movie. He has dedicated three days to this project, after which he will travel to Hyderabad from March 5-8 to work on Ram Charan’s untitled RC16, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. Subsequently, he anticipates splitting his time between Karthik’s film and Hemanth M Rao’s Bhairavana Kone Paata.

Shivarajkumar recognized the promotional efforts surrounding the release of his recent film, Bhairathi Ranagal, and completed work on his upcoming project, 45, which marks the directorial debut of Arjun Janya, prior to traveling to the United States for his surgery. Notably, some scenes of 45 were filmed during his chemotherapy treatment, and he expresses that audiences will be astonished to learn that these sequences were executed while he was experiencing significant health challenges.
