Shivarajkumar Reveals New Film Project Featuring Nephew Dheeren

Geetha Pictures, the production house founded by renowned actor Shivarajkumar, is poised to finance two films simultaneously. Following the announcement of their third project, A for Anand, a children's film inspired by the acclaimed Japanese book Totto Chan: The Girl At the Window, in which Shivarajkumar will have a significant role, the banner has disclosed plans for an additional film.
Established with the Shivarajkumar-led Vedha and subsequently producing the prequel Mufti titled Bhairathi Ranagal, Geetha Pictures is now set to create a film featuring Dheeren Ramkumar, the actor's nephew, in the lead role. Notably, this will mark the first occasion where Shivarajkumar will not appear on screen, as he has made cameo appearances in other projects, including his daughter’s production, Firefly.
Production #4 is particularly noteworthy as it is directed by Sandeep Sunkad, the writer and filmmaker who gained recognition earlier this year with the thriller Shakhahaari. In an official statement, he expressed, “It is a privilege to collaborate with a renowned production house like Geetha Pictures at this early stage of my career. Every director aspires to have a production team that aligns with their vision, and I am profoundly thankful for this opportunity.” He also mentioned that both Shivarajkumar and his wife Geetha were enthusiastic about the script.
Although specifics regarding the film's genre and production timeline remain undisclosed, Dheeren conveyed his optimism about their partnership, stating that he believes audiences will be pleasantly surprised. “I sought a script that would challenge me as an actor and showcase my abilities. The second film is crucial for demonstrating one’s talent, and I aimed to be well-prepared for that moment. When Sandeep sir shared the story, it resonated with me immediately,” he remarked.
Notably, Dheeren, who made his debut in the action drama Shiva 143 in 2022, which did not perform well at the box office, had previously announced his re-introduction by KRG Studios. He even altered his stage name to Dheeren R Rajkumar for this purpose. However, there have been no updates regarding that initiative since then.
