It has been widely reported that Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s Amar Boss which features Rakhee Gulzar, will be released in December. The duo completed the shooting of their film a while ago and there has been curiosity regarding the film. It was initially heard that the film would be released during the summer vacation. But later it was reported that the film is coming in winter. Shiboprosad confirmed that the film will be released during Christmas. 

Shiboprosad told the media, “Rakheeji wants not to hurry for the release. She wants to take time and the film to be released with a good promotion.”

The director also said, “The postponement happened mainly due to my injury. I could not work for more than a month. Hence I thought that I should not hurry. Rakheeji also wanted that. Hence the decision. Also, our film Bahurupi is coming during Puja. If Amar Boss is released before that, the box office results might get affected.” 

Rakhee made her comeback to Bengali films after a long time with Amar Boss. She was seen in Rituparno Ghosh’s film Shubho Mahurat a long time back. She was also in the film Nirban directed by Goutam Halder, but not many people watched it because the film was released in the film festivals.
