The most disappointing aspect was that for almost eight months, no OTT platform expressed interest in acquiring the digital rights. Ultimately, Prime Video obtained the rights and commenced streaming the film on March 7, 2025. With its online availability, the film has quickly become a trending topic. "Manamey" has ascended to the top of Prime Video’s charts, maintaining the number one position since its second day of streaming.

Initially, a segment of the audience overlooked "Manamey" in theaters due to unfavorable reviews. However, following its OTT release, many viewers have come to appreciate it. Those who have since watched the film are particularly enjoying Sharwanand’s comedic performance, in which he portrays an irresponsible man unexpectedly tasked with caring for his friend’s baby. The film humorously depicts his journey through this unforeseen challenge and ultimately leads him to find love.

Some critics have suggested that Manamey was ahead of its time, which may account for its lackluster performance at the box office. Nevertheless, the film is now garnering positive attention on OTT platforms. This phenomenon is not unprecedented, as several films that underperformed in theaters have later achieved success online. For example, Gopichand’s Viswam has been popular for several months on Aha and OTTplay Premium, demonstrating that certain films resonate more effectively with audiences in the digital realm.

Kriti Shetty starred as the female lead in Manamey, which featured an exceptional soundtrack by Hesham Abdul Wahab. The film was entirely filmed in London and showcased breathtaking visuals. Produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory with a substantial budget, the project unfortunately resulted in financial losses.

Sharwanand is currently engaged in the filming of his latest project, where he portrays a biker. Additionally, he has committed to several other projects, which he plans to announce in the near future. At present, despite its initial setbacks, Manamey has emerged as a significant success on OTT platforms and continues to gain popularity on Amazon Prime.
