Just on Tuesday, with just 10 days to go before it was set to hit theaters, the team behind Ajith Kumar’s new movie Vidaamuyarchi revealed that they’re pushing back its release from Pongal day. This news has bummed out a lot of fans, but it’s opened the door for several small and medium budget films to jump in and grab that festive release slot in Tamil Nadu.

Madraskaaran is the newest addition to the lineup, showcasing Shane Nigam as the lead. This film marks the Malayalam actor's first venture into Tamil cinema. It's scheduled to premiere in theaters on January 10.

The movie is crafted by director and writer Vaali Mohan Das. Alongside Shane Nigam, the cast includes Kalaiyarasan, Niharika Konidela, Aishwarya Dutta, Karunas, Pandiarajan, and more.

The story of Madraskaaran revolves around its central plot

Madraskaaran is being described as an emotional action drama, and Shane is set to portray a character named Sathyamoorty from Pudukottai. The Malayalam actor will take on the role of a Tamilian in this film, and he mentioned that mastering the language and delivering a solid performance has been one of his toughest challenges.

Also worth mentioning, this will be Niharika's second Tamil film after Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren. The movie features Prasanna as the cinematographer and has music composed by Sam CS. It's produced by B Jagadish from SR Productions.
