Ajay Devgn holds a lot of successful franchises to his credit. From the Golmaal series, Singham 1 and 2, Drishyam 1 and 2, Son Of Sardaar 1 and 2, the actor has multiple franchises as a box office success. Not just these, but the actor is now gearing up for the sequel of his recently released film - Shaitaan. The supernatural horror thriller is all set for a sequel and the recent report reveal that the scripting of the film has now begun. The film also featured R Madhavan and Jyothika.  

Shaitaan 2 scripting begins!

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the scripting of Shaitaan 2 has begun. Not just this, but one script of the film is already locked and the team along with Ajay Devgn will soon decide on the filming dates as well. The source tells the portal, "The first part was one of the biggest hits of the year and got a lot of acclaim. Hence, they are clear that they’ll take their time in getting the script right. Only then will they move forward.”

“With Shaitaan 2 and Son Of Sardaar 2, Ajay Devgn has attained the status of being the only Indian actor to headline the most number of successful franchises. Each film features a different genre, ranging from action and drama to romance and comedy,” the source further added.

For the uninitiated, Shaitaan was a box office success and minted over ₹211.06 crore crore. The film was made on a budget of around ₹60–65 crore. It was the fourth-highest-grossing Indian film of 2024 and the second-highest-grossing film of 2024. Shaitaan was also the highest-grossing Indian horror film of all time. 

On the professional front, Ajay Devgn will be soon seen in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and Akshay Kumar, among others. It is set for Diwali 2024 release. 

Devgn has also recently announced the filming of Son Of Sardaar 2 by sharing a video clip on his Instagram account. He wrote: "The journey of #SonOfSardaar2 begins with prayers, blessings, and an amazing team"
