Deva plot synopsis

The narrative centers around a skilled yet rebellious police officer, portrayed by Shahid Kapoor, who delves into a high-profile murder case, delivering an exhilarating and action-filled experience.

The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Jakes Bejoy and Vishal Mishra, with cinematography by Amit Roy and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad.

Rosshan Andrews' Hindi cinema debut

This film represents Rosshan's inaugural venture into Hindi cinema and his first collaboration with Shahid Kapoor, being promoted as an action thriller. Kapoor has described the film as an edgy experience filled with intense action and suspense.

In his role as a police officer, Kapoor has opted for a short hairstyle reminiscent of his look in Haider (2014), characterizing his role as particularly challenging.

Supporting characters

Kubbra Sait will portray a police officer, marking her second collaboration with Shahid, following their work together in the web series Farzi. Pavail Gulati joins the cast, making his debut in an action film. He emphasized the need for both physical and mental commitment to meet the demands of his role, participating in a specialized workshop for preparation. Rosshan initially considered employing a body double for some of Gulati's more demanding combat scenes but ultimately chose to have Gulati perform them himself to maintain authenticity.

The film received a U/A certificate from the Censor Board on December 30, 2024, with a total running time of 156.53 minutes.
