They want to keep everyone guessing. A source close to the project mentioned that only the higher-ups are in the loop about the final ending.

“Since Deva revolves around a murder mystery, it’s super important to prevent any spoilers. To maintain the suspense, Rosshan, Shahid, and the main players behind Deva decided to shoot three alternate climaxes, each featuring a different suspect as the killer. The real ending will only be known to those at the top of the production,” the source shared.

The source explained that the mystery remains throughout the editing process since the technical team is working on all three versions that were filmed. “Only a handful of people know the truth about which version will actually hit theaters on January 31. This level of secrecy adds an extra layer of suspense for both the audience and the team,” the source mentioned.
