Deva box office collection on day five: Shahid Kapoor's Deva premiered in theatres last week following a postponement. The film received a range of reviews from critics, although Shahid's portrayal of a police officer was well-received. Thus far, the film has maintained a consistent performance at the box office during its opening week.

The report indicates that Deva has generated a net revenue of ₹ 24.25 crore within the first five days of its release. On Tuesday, the film experienced a decline, earning ₹ 2.35 crore according to preliminary estimates, marking its lowest daily collection to date. Deva debuted with a respectable ₹ 5.5 crore and subsequently garnered ₹ 6.4 crore and ₹ 7.25 crore on its second and third days, respectively.

According to the report, Deva recorded a Hindi occupancy rate of 6.93 per cent on Tuesday.

Deva is a reimagining of Roshan's 2013 Malayalam film Mumbai Police, which featured Prithviraj Sukumaran in the principal role. In this adaptation, Shahid portrays ACP Dev Ambre, a character who suffers from memory loss while investigating the murder of his closest friend. Pooja plays his romantic interest, a journalist named Diya Sathaye. The film also includes significant performances by Pavail Gulati and Kubbra Sait.

A review from the Hindustan Times commented, "Deva might have benefited from increased action and fewer narrative complexities. If the approach is intended to appeal to the masses, with several standout moments, why complicate the storyline? Some potentially engaging arcs seem to remain unresolved. The soundtrack features only one lively track, the title song. The dialogues penned by Abbas Dalal and Hussain Dalal are satisfactory. In summary, Deva had considerable potential to present a dynamic character, perpetually on the brink and genuinely unpredictable. Instead, it delivers a conventional narrative with a commendable performance from Shahid."
