Kapoor described the character of Deva as enigmatic and intimidating, yet simultaneously gentle and pure. He admitted that he is still getting to know this new role, but finds joy in the process of uncovering what lies within.

Kapoor also suggested that he is transitioning into the dark and gritty realm of 1990s gangsters.
