Vishal Bhardwaj's upcoming film featuring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri has officially started production

Sajid Nadiadwala is all set for an exciting 2025, lined up with four major film releases. The year kicks off with a much-anticipated action flick, directed by the talented Vishal Bhardwaj, featuring Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, and Randeep Hooda. They just started filming today in Mumbai, and this action-packed thriller is slated to hit theaters on December 5, 2025.

In the first look from the muhurat shoot, Shahid Kapoor takes center stage. The shot shows him lounging in what appears to be a pool chair, dressed in a jade green bathrobe with the sleeves rolled up. His tattooed arms add a cool vibe, and the standout piece of his outfit is definitely the cowboy hat he's rocking. Fans are absolutely loving this sneak peek, showering the comments section with praise.

Shahid Kapoor, teaming up with Vishal Bhardwaj for the third time after Kaminey and Haider, shared his thoughts on December 17 about his upcoming projects, including Deva and the untitled VB film. On Instagram, he posted, "Prep time ... New year, new role ..... What can I do that’s different this time ....... wandering in the unknown..... But you can’t be unique if you’re not willing to get lost ...... DEVA was dark and intense yet had a vulnerable side ..... who will this new character be ...... No idea yet ....... But it’s such a thrill to explore what’s inside me again." He also mentioned the kind of role he’s diving into next, saying, "Getting into the gritty, edgy gangster vibe of the 90s."
