In Mufasa: The Lion King, the greatest Hindi casting to date—including the iconic Shah Rukh Khan, his sons Aryan and AbRam, and others—brings the story of the jungle's last monarch into being. The 2019 live-action The Lion King was a huge hit, and now SRK is back as Mufasa, bringing viewers to the beginning of the story of the greatest king of the jungle. His offspring, Simba (Aryan) and Young Mufasa (AbRam), accompany him. The Hindi trailer for the stunningly breathtaking live-action Mufasa: The Lion carries the weight of Indian cinema's King Khan and his clan.

Shah Rukh Khan's emotional connection to Mufasa

In a statement, SRK said about the association that Mufasa has an incredible legacy and stands as the ultimate king of the jungle, imparting his wisdom to his son, Simba. Not only does he identify with Mufasa's journey in the film, but he also emotionally relates to him as a father. Seeing this character again in Mufasa: The Lion King—which follows Mufasa from his youth all the way to his astounding ascent to the position of king—has been a real treat. In particular, working with Disney on this project is meaningful for the superstar because it allows him to share this experience with his boys, Aryan and AbRam.

Bikram Duggal of Disney Star Studios couldn't have imagined anyone else returning to the beloved family entertainer as Mufasa and Simba, respectively, except SRK and Aryan, when Mufasa: The Lion King was revealed. AbRam's addition to the ensemble has made this film much more memorable for them. They want millions of Indian viewers to enjoy this amazing story with their families.
