When it was released, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan broke the box office records. The film is currently available on Netflix. A few days ago, the film was completed one year after its release. Today, September 12, SRK made a special announcement as Jawan is all set to hit theaters in Japan in November 2024. 

Jawan to release in Japan

Taking to his Instagram handle, Shah Rukh Khan dropped a new poster of Jawan to announce that the film will be released in theaters in Japan on 29th November 2024.

While sharing the poster, he captioned it, "Ek kahani justice ki...vengeance ki...villain aur hero ki...Ek kahani Jawan ki...Aa rahi hai Japan ke theatres mein pehli baar!!! Toh ab reh gaya bas ek sawaal- Ready-ah? The fire & action you all loved is making a massy massy massy arrival in Japan! #Jawan hits the screens in Japan on 29th Nov, 2024!"

Reacting to the post, one fan wrote, "Dear Japanese are you ready for the blast the power pack action mania JAWAN is about to release be READY AH" Another commented, "Jawan Sar Sab taraf chha Gaye I love SRK sar." A third fan shared, "Now King will rule Japan too." 

Shah Rukh Khan drops post on one year of Jawan

Taking to his X handle, Shah Rukh Khan dropped glimpses from the film Jawan as Atlee's directorial completed one year of release.

He penned, “The film that we made with a lot of heart… has turned one year ‘old’ today… or shall I say one year ‘Jawan’. Without the storytelling, skill and vision of @Atlee_dir , this film wouldn’t have been possible and of course… massy massy massy!!!"

He further added, “Sending my love to the team that toiled away to make this film what it is — @NayantharaU @VijaySethuOffl , @deepikapadukone , all the Chief’s girls and @RedChilliesEnt !! And thank you to the audiences for accepting our film with such love and happiness!!! #1YearOfJawan"

Plot of Jawan

Jawan follows the story of an Indian who suffered the worst torture at the hands of a gang that cruelly tormented numerous helpless commoners while being unable to distinguish even between a small child.

After escaping the gang, he decides not to leave anyone behind to harm society. The rest of the movie's story revolves around how he tracks down the main enemy and executes a plan to eliminate him.

Apart from SRK, the cast also features Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in important roles in the film. Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Deepika Padukone, Yogi Babu, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, and others were seen in pivotal roles as well.
