Severance Season 2 teaser: New Innie colleagues await Mark at Lumon
2 months ago | 5 Views
Severance, the psychological thriller on Apple TV+, directed by actor Ben Stiller, is returning for its second season on January 17, 2025. The show focuses on four employees of a mysterious company called Lumon Industries, Mark, Helly, Dylan and Irving, who have voluntarily undergone a procedure to separate their work and personal lives. While at work, they have no idea of their lives outside and vice versa.
Season 1 focused largely on Mark (Adam Scott), a widower, and Helly (Britt Lower), a new employee, who struggles with her life as an innie. She rebels often, attempts to escape and when all else fails, even tries to commit suicide. When Mark is accosted by a former colleague and told about the possibility of reversing the severance procedure, apart from other grey areas about Lumon, he and the other innies begin investigating what the company is really up to.
The season ended with Irving (John Turturro), Mark and Helly having their their innie conscience activated while back home and make certain startling discoveries, including the fact that Mark’s wife is not dead, but also works at Lumon, presumably severed, while Helly literally belongs to the Lumon founder’s family and had undergone the procedure for publicity.
New innies at Lumon in Severance season 2
A newly-released teaser has Mark returning to the Lumon office, only to find that he’s got a new group of innies to work with. Where are Irving, Helly and Dylan (Zach Cherry) and who are these new people in the office? A notable new addition to the Severance cast is Alia Shawkat as one the new innies.
Severance also stars Patricia Arquette as Harmony Cobel, the manager of the severed floor, Dichen Lachman as the wellness counsellor at Lumon, Ms Casey, who, as it turns out, is actually Mark’s wife. Christopher Walken, as Burt Goodman, a Lumon employee with another department, among others. The show returns with a two-epside drop on January 17, followed by weekly releases.
