The trailer and music album of upcoming Tamil film Seeran, directed by filmmaker Rajesh’s former assistant Durai K Murugan, was released by the makers. The film, which is based on true events, is set to release in big screens on October 4.

Produced by James Karthik, M Niaz, and directed by Rajesh M' s erstwhile assistant, Durai K Murugan, Seeran is an upcoming film starring debutant James Karthik in the lead role. The makers released the trailer and album of Seeran, which is touted to be a commercial entertainer speaking about social inequalities. The film is set to release in theatres on October 4.
The trailer shows that the film is set in Tiruvanamalai, and how the villagers pray to the local deity. However, the flashback shows a tragedy with violent past, which prevented the temple festival to take place. We also see the protagonist who returns to the land. With a blooming romance, plenty of action and drama, the trailer ends on talking about equality.

The film is based on true events, as per the makers. James Karthik has written the film's story, screenplay and dialogue. He also produced the film and played the protagonist. Debutant director Durai K Murugan has helmed the film.
The film also features known faces like Ineya, Soniya Agarwal, Aajeedh, Krisha Kurup, Aadukalam Naren, Arunthathi Nair, Sendrayan, Aariyan, Pichaikkaran Murthy, Pariyerum Perumal Venkatesh, among others. The shooting of the film took place in and around Vellore and Chennai.
The technical crew consists of cinematography by Bhaskar Arumugam, and Arvind Gerald and Sasitharan scoring the music. Zubin has worked on the background score and Ranjit Kumar has handled the edits. Art director S Ayyappan, lyricists Snegan, and K. Karthik and choreographer Baba Bhaskar and stunt coordinator D. Ramesh have also worked in the film.
Seeran will be releasing in theatres on October 4.
