Following the release of Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, Vikrant Massey is gearing up for another Netflix film. Aditya Nimbalkar's first feature film, Sector 36, will feature the actor in the lead role. Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films are responsible for producing it, which offers a terrifying look into society's darkest recesses. The film has a scheduled release date of September 13.

Sector 36 follows a local police officer as he delves into the disturbing reality behind the abduction of multiple children from a slum, a storyline based on actual occurrences. The film delves into topics of power, criminality, and social inequity, showcasing the acting chops of Deepak Dobriyal and Massey in parts that are completely new to them. The makers guarantee that the film's memorable characters will captivate viewers long after the credits have rolled, as they follow a police officer's confrontation with a crafty serial murderer in a spine-tingling investigation that uncovers secrets. 

Producer Dinesh Vijan, from Maddock Films, expressed his excitement about returning to work with Netflix on a project like Sector 36. They believed that telling this narrative was crucial. A multi-layered exploration of the human psyche, the film follows both the hunter and the pursued, the privileged and the downtrodden. Vijan added that the performances of Vikrant Massey and Deepak Dobriyal are truly remarkable, and they are quite proud of their work.

Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, Netflix India's Director of Original Films, shared that the terrifying tale of Sector 36 will stay with viewers long after they have finished watching it. With outstanding turns by Vikrant Massey and Deepak Dobriyal, debut filmmaker Aditya Nimbalkar creates a riveting film. They have faith that this film's examination of human nature will resonate with viewers and make them question assumptions and perceptions.
