The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film Secret have dropped an update about its theatrical release. The movie, which stars Dhyan Sreenivasan, Aparna Das, Jacob Gregory and Hridayam-fame Kalesh Ramanandh in lead roles, will hit the big screen on July 26. The release date was announced following a special screening of the film held in Kochi today (July 10). If released on the said date, Secret will be running in theatres along with the movie, Panchayath Jetty.

Cast and crew of Secret

The screenplay for the film was written by SN Swamy, the director. Known for his ability to write crime thrillers, Swamy has penned several critically acclaimed films, such as the CBI series, Nariman, and Janakan. Manikuttan, Ranjith, Renji Panicker, Suresh Kumar, Dilshana, Tandoor Krishna, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, and Ardra Mohan are among the supporting cast members. Rajendra Prasad, operating under the Lakshmi Parvathy Vision banner, has provided funding for the film. Jakes Bejoy is the composer of the background score and soundtracks for Secret.

According to sources, the 45-day film shoot was held in several locations around Tamil Nadu, Palakkad, and Ernakulam. The filming has just concluded. Meanwhile, a teaser or trailer for the film will probably be released in the coming days, along with more details about the story and characters.

Posters of Dhyan Sreenivasan’s Secret

On February 9, the project was announced with the release of the first poster for S N Swamy's upcoming movie, Secret. Through his production company, Mammootty Kampany, Malayalam superstar Mammootty unveiled the motion poster. Dhyan Sreenivasan plays a character in the motivational drama film that he has not appeared in before.

The main character appears to be studying astrology, nimitha shastra, synchronicity, and the power of nature. Fans of Dhyan Sreenivasan on social media showed their excitement for this project. The characters portrayed by the main actors were revealed in the second poster. Recently, the movie's makers also released the song "Kaattin Chiri Kelkkam."
