Fubar, the 2023 spy thriller action comedy featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger as a CIA agent, initially faced criticism upon its release. However, shortly after the first season, consisting of eight episodes, premiered on a streaming service, it was renewed for a second season, which now has a confirmed release date. Created by Nick Santora, Fubar made its debut on Netflix in May 2023 and is set to return for its second season two years later.

Fubar Season 2 gets June release date

On April 3, Netflix announced that the second season of Fubar will be available on June 12, 2025. All eight episodes of the new season will be released simultaneously. The first season followed Schwarzenegger’s character, Luke Brunner, as he discovered that his daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro) is also a spy, leading them to collaborate on perilous missions. The upcoming season will feature Carrie-Ann Moss as Greta Nelson, a former East German spy and Luke’s ex.

Schwarzenegger has indicated that Season 2 will be more expansive and entertaining, particularly in terms of humor, addressing one of the main criticisms of Season 1, which was that the jokes fell flat. The cast has also mentioned that Season 2 will include significantly more explosive action.

Returning cast members from the first season include Travis Van Winkle as Aldon, Fortune Feimster as Roo, Milan Carter as Barry, Scott Thompson as Dr. Pfeffer, Fabiana Udenio as Tally, Andy Buckley as Donnie, Jay Baruchel as Carter, Adam Pally as The Great Dane, Tom Arnold as Norm, Aparna Brielle as Tina, and Barbara Eve Harris as Dot.

According to an official statement from Netflix, Season 2 of Fubar will focus on the Brunner family and their team as they navigate challenges posed by the dubious analyst Tina, among others.
