Asif Ali is soaking up all the compliments for his new movie Rekhachithram. The actor, who's been on a roll lately, just dropped the first look of his upcoming film Sarkeet. This one also stars Divya Prabha, known for All We Imagine As Light, and is directed by Thamar KV. Mark your calendars because Sarkeet is set to hit theaters in April 2025.

Asif Ali recently hopped on Instagram to unveil the first look poster for his new film with Thamar KV, titled Sarkeet. The charming poster showcases a joyful Asif with a kid on his back, all set against a breezy blue sky. It definitely gives off those feel-good drama vibes.

In his caption, Asif shared, “The Journey Begins Here… An emotional tale of friendship, family, and heartfelt bonds. Get ready to experience it in cinemas – April 2025.”

The movie stars Asif Ali and Divya Prabha, along with Deepak Parambol and Orhan.

Produced by Ajith Vinayaka, the soundtrack is by Govind Vasantha, and Aeyaz is handling the cinematography.

While the specifics of the plot and characters are still under wraps, it's been reported that Sarkeet will take place in the Gulf. Interestingly, director Thamar made his debut with 1001 Nunakal, which also told the story of a group of Malayalis in the Gulf.

Asif Ali's movie Rekhachithram hit theaters on January 9, 2025, and it's getting a lot of love for its captivating story and strong performances. Anaswara Rajan plays an important role in the film, which is directed by Jofin T. Chacko.

In 2024, Asif Ali made waves with his performances in films like Kishkindha Kaandam and Thalavan.

Meanwhile, Divya Prabha gained international attention after her film All We Imagine As Light made history at Cannes last year. Directed by Payal Kapadia, the movie featured Kani Kusruti and Divya Prabha in the main roles, alongside Chhaya Kadam.
