We had earlier reported that a sequel for the 2022 Tamil film Sardar starring Karthi in the lead role, is in the making. With Sardar 2 under production, the makers are announcing the cast members of the sequel on by one. In the latest, the team welcomed back Rajisha Vijayan who also starred in the first part.

Rajisha Vijayan onboard Sardar 2

Sardar 2 is the upcoming sequel of the 2022 spy thriller film Sardar featuring Karthi in the lead role. The first part featured the actor in dual roles. Written and directed by PS Mithran, the filmmaker will be once again resuming his directorial duties for the second part.

Sardar 2 will feature a cast comprising of Karthi, SJ Suryah, and Malavika Mohanan. In the latest, the team announced that Rajisha Vijayan, who played an important role in the first part, will be back for the sequel. The shooting for Sardar 2 has already begun. The film was in the news after recently a member of the team working on the film died due to the injuries he suffered after the accident on the sets. Stunt union member Elumalai feel from a 20ft rostrum accidentally and succumbed to injuries.

Where to watch Sardar

Sardar is available for streaming on Aha Tamil and OTTplay Premium. S Lakshman Kumar under his production banner Prince Pictures backed the film, who is also bankrolling the sequel.

The film revolves around a spy who makes a comeback to prevent a suspicious water company from being launched. In the first part, Karthi played dual roles, as a cop and his father who was a spy and now in exile. Laila, Raashii Khanna, Chunkey Pandey and others were also part of the cast. It is not known if these actors will make a comeback for the sequel.

George C Williams ISC is the cinematographer and Vijay Velukutty will serve as the editor for the sequel.
