Several Bollywood films have been re-released in recent months, among which is Sanam Teri Kasam. Featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, this film, which initially premiered in 2016, has recently captivated audiences once again. Viewers are enamoured with the storyline and are particularly fond of the characters Inder and Saru. The re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam has performed remarkably well at the box office, surpassing Rs. 20 crore by the fifth day.

Sanam Teri Kasam re-release day 5 box office update  

The re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam continues to thrive at the box office during the weekdays, establishing itself as the first outright hit of the year in Bollywood. After generating Rs. 15.50 crore net over the opening weekend, the romantic drama maintained a strong performance on Monday (February 10), earning approximately Rs. 3.25 crore net. On Tuesday (February 11), the film experienced a slight decline of 10%, resulting in an additional net collection of around Rs. 3 crore.

Consequently, the total net collection for the re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam stands at approximately Rs. 21.75 crore after five days, with projections indicating a potential total of Rs. 28-30 crore net by the end of the first week, which is truly impressive.

Sanam Teri Kasam 2 to release sooner than you expect

In a recent interview, directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru disclosed that the script for Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is complete, as the narrative was originally conceived in two segments. They expressed confidence regarding the trajectory of Inder's character, portrayed by Harshvardhan Rane.

They explained, "This is why, at the conclusion, he approaches that tree, and Suru's voice resonates with her lines, setting the stage for the sequel." Regarding the anticipated release date for the second instalment, the filmmakers indicated that, given the success of the first part released on Valentine's Day this year, they aim to premiere Sanam Teri Kasam 2 on Valentine's Day next year.

The original Sanam Teri Kasam narrates the poignant love story between Inder, a defiant and hardened ex-convict, and Saraswati (Saru), a reserved librarian ostracized by her family. The film is currently available for streaming on ZEE5 and JioCinema (OTTplay Premium).
