Sanam Teri Kasam Box Office Day 1 Collection:The Indian box office is currently undergoing a highly competitive week, marked by several film releases competing for audience attention. This week features two new films, two re-releases, and three prominent titles, including a directorial work by Christopher Nolan, a film starring Akshay Kumar, a production by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and the eagerly awaited return of Himesh Reshammiya. Surprisingly, the film that has emerged victorious on its opening day is Sanam Teri Kasam, featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, which has made its return to Indian theaters.

Originally launched in 2016, Sanam Teri Kasam, under the direction of Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao, has made its return to cinemas. The film has notably outperformed Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar in box office revenue in India during its re-release. As reported by Sacnilk, Sanam Teri Kasam garnered approximately ₹4.25-₹4.50 crore on its first day back in theaters.

In contrast, Interstellar recorded earnings of ₹2.50 crore nett and ₹3 crore gross on its re-release opening day. This indicates that Sanam Teri Kasam nearly doubled the revenue of Nolan’s film. Upon its initial release, the film debuted with ₹1.25 crore and achieved a total collection of ₹9 crore. Should this trend persist, the film is poised to exceed its original lifetime earnings within a matter of days.

The Sanam Teri Kasam Misunderstanding

A peculiar misunderstanding took place in Ratlam concerning the re-release of the film. Several months prior, speculation regarding a sequel titled Sanam Teri Kasam 2 began to circulate, generating considerable enthusiasm among fans. When promotional posters for the re-release were displayed in theaters, many patrons mistakenly believed it to be a sequel.

According to a source, “Fans hurried to the cinema in anticipation of Sanam Teri Kasam 2. However, upon the film's commencement, they discovered it was merely the original 2016 movie, which led to their disappointment. Nevertheless, they chose to watch the entire film but subsequently voiced their grievances to the theater owner.”

The theater proprietor stated that he had never promoted a sequel. Once the audience grasped the circumstances, they departed without any additional grievances. Nevertheless, the initial misunderstanding resulted in reduced attendance for the evening and night performances.
