1 month ago | 5 Views
Sanam Teri Kasam Box Office Collection Day 7: The past week has brought unexpected developments to the Indian box office, particularly within the Hindi film industry. A re-release has outshone two new films as well as two significant re-releases. The film in question is Sanam Teri Kasam, which has not only outperformed Loveyapa and Badass Ravi Kumar but has also surpassed Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. As it concludes its first week since the re-release, the film—when combined with its original lifetime earnings—has successfully exceeded the Rs 30 crore threshold and is on the verge of being classified as a hit.
Sanam Teri Kasam Box Office Update
"Sanam Teri Kasam" generated Rs 2.15 crore at the Indian box office, demonstrating a steady performance. The film garnered Rs 2.75 crore on Day 6, following a collection of Rs 2.85 crore on Day 5 (Tuesday). This brings the cumulative earnings from the re-release to an impressive total of over Rs 26.50 crore.
This performance also positions the film to reach a significant milestone when considering its overall earnings. When the original collection of Rs 9 crore from its 2016 release is included with the re-release revenue, the total amount exceeds Rs 35 crore. Produced on a budget of Rs 18 crore, the film has already achieved more than 95% profit, placing it just a step away from being recognized as a box-office success.
Sanam Teri Kasam Misunderstanding
Recently, Bollywood Hungama reported that several months prior, news regarding Sanam Teri Kasam 2 gained significant attention, generating enthusiasm among fans in Ratlam. As posters for the re-release surfaced in cinemas, devoted fans flocked to the theaters, anticipating a sequel. However, as the lights dimmed and the film commenced, they discovered that it was, in fact, the original 2016 movie, which fell short of their expectations.
A source reported that the individuals in question viewed the complete film but subsequently expressed their dissatisfaction to the theatre owner. The owner, taken aback by their complaints, explained that he had never promoted the film as a sequel. Ultimately, the disheartened audience came to accept his explanation and departed. The source further noted that once the residents of Ratlam discovered that the film being re-released was the original Sanam Teri Kasam, which had been released nine years prior, rather than its sequel, attendance for the evening and night screenings significantly declined.
Sanam Teri Kasam was re-released in theatres on February 7, 2025.
