Sanam Teri Kasam Re-release Box Office Day 6: The current box office performance of Sanam Teri Kasam is under observation, as the film has made its return to theatres and has surpassed both new releases and other re-releases, including Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. Featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, the film initially premiered in 2016 and has remained one of the most cherished films of the last decade. In response to significant audience demand, it has re-emerged in cinemas and is now leading the box office. Notably, the film has achieved the second-highest first Wednesday earnings for any movie in 2025.

Sanam Teri Kasam Re-release Box Office Collection

Sanam Teri Kasam, directed by Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao, originally debuted in 2016 with an opening of ₹1.25 crore and concluded its initial run with a total collection of ₹9 crore. However, following its re-release, the film has remarkably surpassed its previous lifetime earnings, now exceeding ₹18 crore.

As reported by Sacnilk, on the sixth day (Wednesday) of its re-release, the film garnered ₹2.75 crore at the Indian box office, following a collection of ₹2.85 crore on the fifth day (Tuesday). This brings the cumulative earnings to an impressive ₹23.60 crore. Furthermore, it has achieved the second-highest first Wednesday collection of 2025, only behind Sky Force, and has outperformed Shahid Kapoor’s Deva, which recorded ₹2.25 crore on its first Wednesday.

Is Sanam Teri Kasam 2 Happening?

As theatres become increasingly crowded for the re-release, fans are expressing their excitement for a potential sequel. In Ratlam, some attendees mistakenly thought that Sanam Teri Kasam 2 had already premiered, only to discover that it was the original film being shown. So, is a sequel in development? Indeed! In September of the previous year, actor Harshvardhan Rane and producer Deepak Mukut confirmed that they were in the process of creating Sanam Teri Kasam 2. They even posted a photograph of themselves with the script, accompanied by the caption:

"Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is officially in the works! Following the epic love story of the first film, we are returning with even more! Stay tuned for updates! #SanamTeriKasam2." However, it remains uncertain whether Mawra Hocane will reprise her role, as her character met her demise in the first film and ongoing political tensions have hindered Pakistani actors from participating in Indian cinema. Consequently, the female lead for the sequel has yet to be revealed.
