Sanam Teri Kasam Re-release Box Office Day 13: The global landscape has witnessed an unprecedented focus on re-releases, fostering the emergence of a new parallel cinema culture that may become a lasting phenomenon. Films such as Sanam Teri Kasam, Tumbbad, and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani have demonstrated that the concept of a second theatrical release can achieve remarkable success. A recent illustration of this trend is the film featuring Harshvardhan Rane, which has astonishingly outperformed expectations, generating more than three times its original lifetime earnings in under two weeks. This film has now overtaken Tumbbad to claim the title of the highest-grossing re-release in India.

Sanam Teri Kasam Re-release Box Office Update

Recently, it was reported that "Sanam Teri Kasam," taking into account its lifetime earnings of ₹9 crore from its initial 2016 release along with the collections from its re-release, has now turned into a profitable project. Initially produced on a budget of ₹18 crore, the film has successfully located its audience, signifying a notable turnaround. It has now exceeded the re-release earnings of "Tumbbad," establishing itself as the largest re-release in India.

As per Pinkvilla, on Day 13, the film's earnings matched those of Day 12, totaling ₹65 lakh. This brings the overall total for the re-release to ₹32.55 crore, not including the original earnings. Consequently, it has surpassed Sohum Shah's "Tumbbad," which garnered ₹31.35 crore during its re-release last year. Notably, both films were deemed box-office failures during their original theatrical runs but have experienced a resurgence in popularity through their re-releases.

Harshvardhan Rane on Sanam Teri Kasam 2

In a conversation with News18 regarding a potential sequel, Harshvardhan Rane remarked, “I serve merely as a conduit in this process. My aim is to find the appropriate partnership to bring it to fruition. It is often said that with great power comes great responsibility, and with love, the responsibility is even more profound. If someone holds affection for you, it is imperative to treat them with the highest regard and elevate them.”

Elaborating on the shared responsibility of filmmakers, Rane conveyed his enthusiasm for advocating for Sanam Teri Kasam 2. He even mentioned his willingness to wait outside the producer's office to facilitate its realization. Notably, the sequel was announced last September, although no director has been specified.

“Step one was me posting on social media for Sanam Teri Kasam to get re-released. Step two was standing outside Deepak sir’s office. Step three was getting the film finally re-released. Step four was my dream of seeing ‘House Full’ boards outside cinema halls—something I’ve never witnessed in my career. And the final step is the fifth one, where you’ll find me outside his office again, requesting him to make part two. I have no awkwardness about it. I’m ready to do it,” he remarked.
