On the occasion of Salman Khan's 59th birthday on Friday, the producers of his upcoming action film Sikandar were prepared to release the teaser for AR Murugadoss' project. Nevertheless, they announced on Friday morning that the teaser launch has been postponed due to the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Sikandar teaser has been delayed

Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the production house led by Sajid Nadiadwala and responsible for the film Sikandar, announced via its official X account on Friday morning, just hours prior to the planned teaser release at 11:07 AM: “In light of the passing of our esteemed former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Ji, we regret to inform you that the launch of the Sikandar teaser has been rescheduled to December 28 at 11:07 AM. Our thoughts are with the nation during this period of mourning. We appreciate your understanding. - #TeamSikandar.”

On the eve of Salman Khan's birthday, the creators of his forthcoming film Sikandar thrilled fans by revealing his look from the project. The poster showcases a dapper Salman wielding a spear, providing a glimpse of his rugged persona, although his full face is partially hidden. Salman shared the poster on Instagram, indicating that the film's teaser would be released on his birthday, December 27.

Sikandar also features Rashmika Mandanna alongside Salman. The film is scheduled for theatrical release next Eid. Additionally, Salman is currently engaged in hosting Bigg Boss 14 and will also appear in Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick 2.

The passing of Manmohan Singh

Manmohan Singh passed away at the age of 92 due to age-related health issues, as reported by AIIMS New Delhi on Thursday night. He held the position of Prime Minister of India for two terms, from 2004 to 2014. Singh first took the oath of office in 2004, following the Congress party's victory in the Lok Sabha elections against the NDA led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. His second term lasted from 2009 until 2014, after which he was succeeded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Renowned as a leading economist, Manmohan Singh played a crucial role in the formulation of the New Economic Policy in 1991.
