Salman Khan’s Sikandar Sparks Ticket Rush: ₹2200 Prices, Mumbai & Delhi Neck-and-Neck in Houseful Contest

The excitement surrounding Salman Khan's Sikandar has reached unprecedented heights! Ticket prices for the film have soared to Rs. 2,200, yet booking platforms indicate that availability is nearly exhausted. The highest ticket sales are reported from major cities such as Mumbai and Delhi, where both are vying to see who can host the most sold-out screenings for Salman Khan's Eid release.

Sikandar charges as much as Rs 2200 per seat

The ticket prices for theatres with Director's Cut or Luxe, particularly in Mumbai, go up to Rs. 2,200. Delhi is not too far behind either, for it charges Rs. 1,600-1,900 per seat. Delhi-NCR's recliner seats also cost Rs. 1,400 for evening shows.

Sikandar's advance booking gross, day 1

1,39,945 tickets are sold for Sikandar in advance bookings on day 1, according to Sacnilk. This equals to an earning of Rs. 9.42 crore in advance. Delhi is currently leading the race with bookings of Rs. 1.51 crore. Mumbai catches up at Rs. 1.21 crore.

Sikandar - the movie of many firsts

Sikandar marks the inaugural collaboration between Salman and both director AR Murugadoss and his female co-star Rashmika Mandanna. The film has also introduced an innovative approach by breaking the traditional Friday release pattern; instead of opting for a Thursday or mid-week launch, it will be released on a Sunday. This decision was primarily influenced by Salman's desire to have the film premiere just before Eid, which is on Monday, March 31.

Sikandar not remotely close to Rs. 100 crore, yet

It is only the first day of advance bookings, so the current situation is not surprising; however, Salman Khan's Sikandar is far from reaching the Rs. 100 crore mark at the Box Office at this point. The film has yet to generate even Rs. 10 crore in advance sales. This indicates a sluggish start, although there is potential for improvement tomorrow. Whether the Sunday release contributes to the lack of awareness among audiences or if other factors are at play will become clearer as the figures are disclosed on Saturday, the day before the film's major theatrical release. In the meantime, be sure to catch Salman Khan's previous Eid release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, available on Zee5 through OTTplay Premium.
