The well-known politician Baba Siddique was fatally shot on October 12 outside the Bandra East office of his son, Zeeshan Siddique, an event that sent shockwaves throughout the nation. Baba Siddique's Killers Had Salman Khan in Their Sights First

Baba Siddique was fatally shot by three attackers in Bandra. He was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. As reported by India Today, during their interrogation, the suspects disclosed that they had intended to target Salman Khan as well. The suspects allegedly informed authorities that they were unable to carry out the assassination of Salman due to his stringent security measures.
Gang Leader Lawrence Bishnoi Takes Credit for Baba Siddique's Murder

A member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang publicly claimed responsibility for the murder of Siddique in a post on Facebook. The post included a statement addressing Salman Khan, asserting, "We did not seek this conflict, but your actions led to the loss of our brother's life. The legacy of Baba Siddique has now come to an end, as he was once associated with MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) alongside Dawood. His demise is attributed to his connections with Dawood and Anuj Thapan in the realms of Bollywood, politics, and real estate. We harbor no personal grievances against anyone. Nevertheless, those who assist Salman Khan or the Dawood faction should be forewarned. Should anyone cause harm to our brothers, we will take action."

On December 4, Salman was engaged in filming his project Sikandar in the Dadar region of Mumbai. An individual unlawfully accessed the filming site. When approached by the authorities for questioning, he referenced Bishnoi, inquiring, "Should I call Bishnoi?" Promptly, the officials escorted the individual to the police station at Shivaji Park for further inquiry.
