Aside from the perilous circumstances surrounding him, the star was engaged in the filming of his upcoming major project, directed by the esteemed South Indian filmmaker AR Murugadoss. This project, titled Sikandar, has emerged as one of the most eagerly awaited films nationwide. While much of the film's cast has been kept confidential, it is known that both Khan and Rashmika Mandanna are involved. Recently, it has been confirmed that Anjini Dhawan, the niece of Varun Dhawan, will also be part of the cast.
Anjini Dhawan Joins Salman Khan In Sikandar
Anjini Dhawan, for those unfamiliar, made her acting debut last year in the film Binny and Family. Following the film's release, speculation arose regarding her participation in Sikandar alongside Salman Khan. However, she opted to remain discreet until now, when she has officially confirmed her role in the highly anticipated project. According to Hindustan Times, she expressed her excitement about being able to discuss the film now that the teaser has been released, and she is thrilled with her professional journey.
In an interview, Anjini shared her thoughts on working with Salman Khan on the set of Sikandar, describing the experience as a “pinch-me” moment. She stated, “I couldn’t be more grateful and thankful. Every time I enter the film’s set, I have to pinch myself and ask, Is this real life, or am I dreaming? Every single day feels like a dream.”
The actress further elaborated on her admiration for Khan, revealing that she has always been one of his biggest fans. She remarked, “I have grown up as his biggest fan. I have loved his films, especially those he made with David Dhawan (my great uncle), from Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004) to Partner (2007), which is my go-to film on bad days. Whenever I have a bad day, I just need to watch Partner, and I feel better. So, working with him feels like living a dream.”
