Salaar Part 1 was a smash hit at the box office, and now the focus has shifted towards the second part of the Prabhas starrer. The latest update is that the shooting of the sequel will kick start in the second week of June 2024, as per one of the team members.

Prabhas will be done with the promotions of Kalki 2898 AD by then and has allotted bulk dates for the shoot of Salaar 2. We have also come to know that the shooting of the film will be wrapped up in four months, and the makers have planned to release the film in April 2025 and are working towards the same.

Just a few days ago, we at OTT Play had already reported that Prabhas had pushed aside his film Raja Saab with Maruthi for Salaar 2. So, things are being planned accordingly, and it will be a start-to-finish shoot for Prabhas.

The news in film circles is that director Prashanth Neel has planned to wrap up the sequel for under Rs 150 crore, as per our sources. We have also learned that the sequel will have the romantic track of Prabhas and Shrithi Haasan, and the makers will also shoot a dream romantic song in the days to come.

Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the main villain in this film, which also has Jagapathi Babu in a key role. Ravi Basrur is the music director of this film, which is being made on a prestigious note by Hombale Films. They have made big bucks with Salaar 1 and are leaving no stone unturned for the second part.

Prabhas will be seen in solid action sequences in the sequel, and the news is that he will do all the action on his own, unlike in the first part, where he used many dupes due to his knee injury, which sidelined him for six months.

Pre-production is happening at a brisk pace, and the film will soon go on floors. We need to see what Prabhas and Prashanth Neel are up to with the sequel. Watch this space for more updates on this project.
