Prabhas is currently on a high with the massive success of his latest outing, Kalki 2898 AD. The Telugu superstar was supposed to kickstart the shooting of Salaar 2, the second installment of director Prashanth Neel’s action-drama franchise, in August 2024. However, recent updates suggest that the project, which has been titled Salaar 2: Shouryaanga Parvam, has been delayed indefinitely. Both Prabhas and Prashanth Neel are reportedly set to focus on their other upcoming projects, for now.

Salaar 2 delayed due to Prabhas’ busy schedule?

According to the recent updates, Prabhas and Prashanth Neel have decided to put Salaar 2 on hold, due to the busy schedule of the Telugu superstar. If the reports are to be believed, the crowd-puller of Telugu cinema is unable to allocate dates for the second installment, due to his other professional commitments. In that case, it is safe to assume that Salaar 2 might not go on floors this year, as Prabhas is going to be busy with the shootings of Maruthi Dasari’s Raja Saab, and Spirit, the upcoming Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial.

Prashanth Neel launches NTRNeel with Jr NTR

The filmmaker, however, has decided to go ahead and start the shooting of NTRNeel, his next outing in Telugu cinema. The project, which stars Jr NTR in the lead role, recently had its official launch with a grand pooja ceremony in Hyderabad. The movie is reportedly set in the late 1960s and early 1970s in the China, Bhutan, and West Bengal regions, which were famously called ‘The Golden Triangle’. The principal photography of the movie is expected to begin very soon.

The Telugu superstar will be next seen in Raja Saab, the highly anticipated Maruthi Dasari directorial which is touted to be a fantasy action comedy. The movie, which reportedly stars Prabhas in a double role, is slated to be released in April 2025. Later, the actor will team up with Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for Spirit, the action drama film. The rumour mills suggest that the actor is yet again playing a double role, as the protagonist and antagonist, in the film.
