Netflix has formally announced the imminent release of the eagerly awaited anime adaptation of Yuuto Suzuki's Sakamoto Days manga. On Thursday, the streaming platform revealed a fresh English-dubbed teaser trailer, accompanied by the complete English dub cast for the series. Enthusiasts of both manga and anime can now prepare for the arrival of this action-filled series, as the release date approaches.

Netflix has announced that Sakamoto Days will be launched in two segments, with the initial segment comprising 11 episodes released weekly. This eagerly awaited anime is scheduled to debut on TV Tokyo and its associated channels on January 11, 2025, coinciding with its release on Netflix. Viewers can anticipate the continuation of the series, referred to as the second part of the course, which is set to air in July 2025, promising further episodes in this thrilling narrative, as reported by Anime News Network.

While the streaming service has not disclosed the precise release time for the inaugural episode, a global release is anticipated at 6 am PT/9 am ET.

Creative team behind the Sakamoto days

The anime adaptation of Sakamoto Days is being developed by a remarkable team of professionals. Directed by Masaki Watanabe, who has previously worked on KADO - The Right Answer and Bartender, the series is produced by TMS Entertainment. Taku Kishimoto, known for his contributions to BLUELOCK and Haikyu!!, is responsible for the series' scripts, while Yō Moriyama, celebrated for his role in Lupin the IIIrd: Goemon's Blood Spray, takes on the character design. The opening theme, titled Hashire Sakamoto, will be performed by Vaundy, and the ending theme, Futsū, will be delivered by Conton Candy.
