Director Sailesh Kolanu's HIT 3, also known as HIT: The Third Case, will feature Nani stepping in as a police officer to tackle a new investigation, succeeding Vishwak Sen and Adivi Sesh. Recently, speculation circulated on social media and in the press regarding a cameo appearance by a Tamil star at the conclusion of HIT 3, with hints that this character may be introduced as the next cop in the upcoming fourth installment of the franchise. Sailesh responded to these leaks with frustration, indirectly affirming the authenticity of the rumors.

In a detailed message on X (formerly Twitter), Sailesh expressed the immense effort that goes into filmmaking, stating, “For every moment of excitement experienced by our audience in theaters, there is a story of a dedicated team working tirelessly day and night, pushing beyond their limits. All of this is aimed at creating a significant impact in the auditorium, and we take great pride in that.”

He then addressed the media for disclosing information about the film's conclusion, questioning the ethics of those responsible: “It is disheartening to witness the current state of the media, where some individuals do not pause to consider the implications of leaking details that are meant to be savored in the theater. While the drive to be the first to report is understandable, it ultimately reflects the values and ethics of individual journalists and media organizations in determining whether it is appropriate to share such information.”

Sailesh concluded his message by asserting that those who leaked the information had 'stolen' not only from the film's team but also from the audience: “There have been instances in journalism where professionals have risen above their job descriptions and refrained from reporting certain events because it was deemed inappropriate. I can only hope that this particular group of individuals possessed that level of integrity. This type of reporting does not merely undermine the hard work of the film crew; it is akin to robbing the audience directly.”

HIT 3 marks the third installment in the HIT universe, directed by Sailesh. The series began with HIT: The First Case, which premiered in theaters in 2020, followed by HIT: The Second Case in 2022. Each film revolves around police officers investigating a murder case. In HIT 3, Nani portrays Arjun Sarkaar IPS, while Srinidhi Shetty takes on the role of his romantic partner, Mrudula.
