It was previously announced that actor Sivakarthikeyan's 25th project would be directed by filmmaker Sudha Kongara, featuring actors Jayam Ravi, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela already attached to the cast. SK 25 title is this?

Sivakarthikeyan, who achieved significant success with the film Amaran last year, is currently engaged in multiple projects. The actor is in the midst of filming SK 23 under the direction of esteemed filmmaker AR Murugadoss, while also working on SK 25, directed by Sudha Kongara. The latter project was recently announced, featuring Jayam Ravi in the role of the antagonist. Sreeleela is cast as the female lead, and Atharvaa plays a pivotal role; however, the title of SK 25 has yet to be disclosed.

A document circulating on social media, which outlines artist fees, has suggested that the title of SK 25 may be 1965. Given that SK 25 is confirmed to be a period drama, Sudha's decision to title the film after a specific year indicates that the narrative is set in the 1960s. Currently, SK 25 is in production, supported by Dawn Pictures, with music composed by GV Prakash, who also worked on Amaran.

SK 25 once was Suriya 43

It is already established that Sudha initially announced this project featuring Suriya in the lead role, alongside actors Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Varma, and Nazriya Fahadh in significant roles. However, Suriya had to withdraw from the project for reasons that remain undisclosed. The project was subsequently revealed to have a partial title of Purananooru. It appears that Sudha Kongara intends to restart the project, now opting for the year 1965 as a reference point.

SK 25 has yet to receive a release date. This film marks the first collaboration between Sivakarthikeyan and filmmaker Sudha Kongara, as well as Sreeleela’s debut in Tamil cinema. Additionally, Jayam Ravi will be portraying his first role as an antagonist.
