Following the success of Kalki 2898 AD, actor Prabhas is poised to captivate audiences in the upcoming film Kannappa, which stars Vishnu Manchu. The production team has generated significant excitement by revealing the first look of Prabhas in the role of Rudra.

Prabhas as Rudra in Kannappa

On Monday, the first-look poster of Prabhas as Rudra was released by the Kannappa team. The image depicts him as a hermit, characterized by matted hair and sandalwood paste adorning his forehead. He is seen holding a crescent moon staff, symbolizing divine authority and celestial energy. The poster's text proclaims, "He is the raging storm, the guide through times past and future, he is ruled by Lord Shiva’s command!"

In an Instagram post sharing the poster, Prabhas expressed, "The Divine Guardian Rudra. Unveiling my look as ‘Rudra’. The embodiment of strength and wisdom as the unwavering protector in #Kannappa. A timeless journey of devotion, sacrifice, and love. Join us on this epic adventure, coming to theatres on April 25, 2025! #HarHarMahadev."

Fans have expressed their enthusiasm for Prabhas’ portrayal in Vishnu Manchu’s film. One comment noted, "The one and only reason to watch Kannappa." Another remarked, "This is just wow." A third fan added, "Goosebumps. Prabhas looks amazing."

Previously, the production team had released a poster featuring Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva, marking his debut in Telugu cinema. With the introduction of Prabhas as Rudra, excitement for the film has intensified. The teaser, presented at the Cannes Film Festival by Vishnu Manchu, Mohan Babu, and Prabhu Deva, has further piqued the interest of fans.

About Kannappa

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by M. Mohan Babu, Kannappa explores the rich historical narrative of Kannappa Nayanar, a venerated Shaivite saint celebrated for his steadfast devotion to Lord Shiva.

The film features an impressive ensemble cast, including Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, alongside Preity Mukhundhan, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Prabhas. Kannappa is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 25.
