Rocking Star Yash Drops Hint on ‘Toxic’ Release Date Announcement!

The team behind Rocking Star Yash's forthcoming film, Toxic, would have had fans eagerly anticipating its release by now had they adhered to the original schedule. The film was initially slated for release on April 10, 2025. However, due to delays in the shooting process and subsequent developments, Yash has made it clear that they will not be able to meet this deadline. At that time, the Rocking Star emphasized that he would refrain from announcing a new release date until the project was fully completed, as maintaining credibility is of utmost importance.

The team is reportedly in the process of filming the final schedule of the movie, with visual effects work also underway. This development has seemingly instilled confidence in the team to contemplate announcing the anticipated release date for Toxic. Social media speculation suggests that the filmmakers will disclose the release date on April 10.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is said to be filmed in both Kannada and English simultaneously, aiming for a worldwide release. This period drama is set in Goa and focuses on the drug mafia. The cast includes Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, and Akshay Oberoi, while cinematography is managed by Geetu’s husband, Rajeev Ravi, and stunts are directed by Hollywood action specialist JJ Perry.

KVN Productions, in collaboration with Yash’s Monster Minds Creations, is set to release Toxic in theaters, likely in late 2025, with an official announcement anticipated soon. While December has been speculated as the potential release month for Toxic, online discussions suggest that it may need to debut earlier. This is due to the upcoming release of the third installment in the Avatar series, titled Fire and Ash, which is scheduled for December 19. A release of Toxic in close proximity to James Cameron's film could negatively impact its performance in the international market.

Rishab Shetty's prequel to Kantara, titled Kantara: Chapter 1, is anticipated to be released in early October; however, there are signs that this timeline may not be achievable. Should this occur, the film Toxic could aim for a release during the Dasara period or potentially a few weeks later for Diwali. Regardless of the final decision made by the producers, there is a strong desire for Toxic to have a solo release.

Throughout the production of the film, the team has refrained from providing any official announcements regarding the cast or crew, with the exception of Geetu being confirmed as the director. The filmmaker has expressed that the objective for Toxic is to craft a story that appeals to both Indian and international viewers. Additionally, the film is set to be dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi, as it is regarded as one of the most eagerly awaited films.
