Reprisal On OTT: Here's where you can watch Frank Grillo and Bruce Willis’ 2018 film on streaming

Acclaimed movies landing on streaming platforms always feel special, but there's another category that gains attention for different reasons — films disowned by their own stars or creators, often labeled as regrets by those involved. These films tend to go viral because audiences are curious to see just how bad they are, especially when the actors themselves publicly distance from the final product. One such film is Reprisal (2018), starring Bruce Willis and Frank Grillo. Grillo later called it the worst film of his career, openly admitting he did it solely for the paycheck.
Reprisal on OTT
In Reprisal, Jacob (Frank Grillo), a bank manager haunted by a violent heist that claimed the life of his colleague, teams up with his ex-cop neighbor Caden (Bruce Willis) to track down the thief. Together, they work to figure out the criminal's next move, but Gabriel (Johnathon Schaech), the highly trained mastermind behind the heist, is always one step ahead. When Gabriel kidnaps Jacob's wife (Olivia Culpo) and daughter, Jacob embarks on a blood-soaked mission to bring him down, leading to an explosive confrontation.
Directed by Brian Miller, Reprisal stars Bruce Willis, Frank Grillo, Olivia Culpo, Johnathon Schaech, and more. The movie will be added to Lionsgate Play’s catalog and is set to hit the platform in October, though no exact release date has been confirmed. You can also watch it with an OTTplay Premium subscription once it becomes available.
Frank Grillo on Reprisal
In an interview with Collider, Frank Grillo did not hold back his disdain for Reprisal, calling it the worst movie of his career. He particularly criticized the unrealistic casting of Olivia Culpo, who was 25 at the time, as his wife and the mother of a 16-year-old daughter. "I've been in so many bad movies," Grillo said. "Here's the worst movie I've ever done, also with Bruce Willis, it's called Reprisal. And in it, I'm married to Olivia Culpo, I think she's a 25-year-old Miss Universe, and she's my wife, and we have a 16-year-old daughter. And the movie's so bad and it makes no sense; I'm like, 'Oh wow, I took a money job.' And my garden looks great because it paid for a new garden, but it's so embarrassing."
Grillo went on to say he hoped the movie wouldn't get released and jokingly blamed Bruce Willis for the film's shortcomings. He added, "Somehow my name was before his on the poster—I'm like, 'No, no, no, no.'"
When asked if he could tell if a movie was bad from reading the script, Grillo responded, "Immediately. First of all, that truly was a money job. It was a bunch of money for a very short period of time, which was why I think Bruce Willis did it. It was a one-off; I'm never doing that again."
