Jr NTR has arrived in Bangalore to commence filming for his upcoming project with Prashanth Neel, renowned for his work on KGF. The film, provisionally named Dragon, is set to begin production with an extensive action scene, according to reports. Prashanth Neel is recognized for his relaxed filming pace, and NTR has dedicated a significant amount of time for this endeavor.

The makers were looking at Sankranthi 2026 in January as the release date of the film, but as the shoot will not be wrapped up by then, Prashanth and his producers have decided to release the film in summer. We at OTTplay have come to know that the makers are looking at May 8, 2026, as the release date of Dragon.

The current schedule will go on for three weeks in Mangalore. A massive set has been erected for the same by the makers, and NTR will sport a very lean look in this film. Rukmini Vasanth is playing the female lead, and the news is that yet another popular heroine will be seen as the second lead.

Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts are collaborating to produce this film on a grand scale. Enthusiasts of the star from Temper and Oosaravelli are thrilled about this project, particularly because it marks NTR's first collaboration with Prashanth Neel, leading to soaring expectations. Additionally, the pre-release business is thriving, with an unprecedented demand for the OTT rights.

Jr NTR gears up for War 2 release

NTR is set to appear in War 2, scheduled for release on August 14, 2025. Directed by Ayan Mukherjee, the film also stars Hrithik Roshan, the renowned actor from Koi Mil Gaya, in a leading role. War 2 will be Jr NTR's first venture into Hindi cinema, and there is considerable anticipation surrounding the collaboration of these two prominent stars in this major production by Yash Raj.
