This collaboration aims to redefine the political thriller genre.
In a promotional effort for Vedaa, John Abraham participated in a podcast hosted by Ranveer Allahbadia, where he discussed both The Diplomat and Tehran.

John Abraham in Vedaa
The actor's most recent appearance was in the film Vedaa. This action-drama narrative centres on a Dalit woman who confronts caste discrimination and the oppressive structures present in her village. The cast includes Sharvari Wagh in the role of Vedaa, John Abraham portraying Major Abhimanyu Kanwar, and Abhishek Banerjee as Jitendra Pratap Singh.
The review of Vedaa on OTTplay states, "Vedaa presents a compelling narrative that deserves attention. However, it falters in its attempt to harmonize commercial aspects with subtlety, which detracts from the overall quality of the film. Nonetheless, Sharvari captivates audiences."
Directed by Nikkhil Advani, Vedaa includes Abhishek Banerjee in the role of the antagonist and Tamannaah Bhatia in the romantic interest of John Abraham's character. The film is presently available for streaming on ZEE5 and can also be accessed through OTTplay Premium with a subscription.
