Asif Ali on artiste’s portions getting deleted in Rekhachithram

Asif Ali addressed the incident during a press conference held in celebration of the success of Rekhachithram.

Reflecting on the event, Asif Ali shared that he encountered Sulekha in tears after exiting the Rekhachithram screening. "I initially believed she was touched by the film. However, the scenes she performed in were omitted during the editing process," Asif explained, assuring that the deleted footage would be made available soon.

A video featuring Asif expressing his apologies to Sulekha is also gaining traction on social media.

"Apologies, ... Chechi, your performance in our scenes was exceptional," Asif acknowledged, admitting that he too felt emotional upon witnessing her distress.

While noting that runtime can sometimes pose challenges in films, the actor reassured her, "We will collaborate in my next project." Asif Ali remarked that their scene together in Rekhachithram was particularly humorous.

Following his impressive performance in Thalavan, Asif Ali portrays the character of Vivek, a police officer, in Rekhachithram. Upon being reassigned to a secluded area, Vivek encounters a suicide case. However, the individual took this drastic action after confessing to a crime from his past. This revelation propels Vivek into a complex mystery that he must unravel.

Anaswara Rajan also holds an important position in the film, which is directed by Jofin T Chacko, known for previously directing the Mammootty-starring film The Priest. Rekhachithram features a connection to Mammootty, much to the pleasure of the megastar's admirers. The cast of Rekhachithram includes Jagadish, Manoj K Jayan, Siddique, Indrans, and Harisree Ashokan.
