Rekhachithram is not a thriller, says Jofin T Chacko
Jofin T Chacko recently discussed his ambitious project in an interview, clarifying that Rekhachithram is not a thriller. The young filmmaker described the film, starring Asif Ali, as an investigation drama that does not follow the traditional ‘whodunit’ format. Notably, the film will reveal the essence of its central incident and the individuals responsible for it right from the outset. The narrative progresses through the investigation led by Asif Ali's character.
Furthermore, Jofin T Chacko emphasized that the highly anticipated film is not an unconventional piece. He stated that Rekhachithram incorporates all the essential commercial elements that ensure it remains a gripping experience, despite not fitting into the crime thriller category. Based on the recently released trailer featuring Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan, it appears that the film presents a distinctive investigative narrative that intertwines two different time periods.
Kaathodu Kaathoram includes a well-known ‘Ganamela’ scene with characters portrayed by Mammootty and Saritha, accompanied by a choir group. This choir comprises local nuns and Sunday school students from their community church. Interestingly, director Jofin T Chacko has recreated this specific scene in Rekhachithram, as indicated in the trailer.
