Sorgavaasal – Netflix (December 27)

Sorgavaasal features filmmaker and actor RJ Balaji in the lead role and is an action drama set within a prison, directed by newcomer Sidharth Vishwanath. The cast includes Karunas, Samuel Abiola Robinson, Hakkim Shah, Natarajan Subramaniam, Saniya Iyappan, Sharaf U Dheen, Balaji Sakthivel, Ravi Raghavendra, Santhana Bharathi, Anthonythasan Jesuthasan, among others in supporting roles. The film draws inspiration from events that occurred in Madras Central Prison during the 1990s, telling the story of a man who is falsely accused of murder and finds himself in a nightmarish situation behind bars.

The Smile Man – Theatres (December 27)

Sarathkumar-starrer The Smile Man is a crime drama directed by Syam and Praveen. The film marks the veteran actor's 150th outing. The Smile Man revolves around a senior cop who is suffering from Alzheimer's. The cast of the film includes Sri Kumar, Sijaarose, Ineya, George Maryan, Rajkumar, Kumar Natarajan, Baby Azhiya, and others.

Thiru Manickam – Theatres (December 27)

Samuthirakani leads the cast in Thiru Manickam, a family drama crafted by writer and director Nanda Periyasamy. The ensemble includes notable actors such as Bharathiraja, Thambi Ramaiah, Karunakaran, Chaams, Vadivukarasi, and Ilavarasu.
