Trailer release
Amazon Prime Video unveiled the trailer for the forthcoming season on Thursday. Reacher Season 3 is based on the novel Persuader and features Jack facing a formidable adversary, Pauli, also known as the Dutch Giant.
The trailer suggests a nuanced relationship between the two characters, indicating that they may initially collaborate before ultimately becoming fierce opponents. This season's narrative revolves around Jack's mission to rescue an undercover DEA agent, which takes a personal twist as he encounters a nemesis he thought he had eliminated years prior.
Additionally, the trailer provides a preview of Frances Neagley, portrayed by Maria Sten, a recurring character who is set to lead her spinoff series within the Jack Reacher universe.
In a moment captured in the trailer, Jack inquires, “Exactly how much danger is this job putting me in?” The tagline, “Trouble doesn’t get any bigger,” plays alongside the classic song Carry on My Wayward Son by Kansas, establishing the tone for the upcoming season.
The official logline states that in the third season, “Reacher hurtles into the dark heart of a vast criminal enterprise when trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out. There he finds a world of secrecy and violence—and confronts some unfinished business from his past.”
New cast members for this season include Anthony Michael Hall as Zachary Beck, Sonya Cassidy as Susan Duffy, Brian Tee as Quinn, Johnny Berchtold as Richard Beck, Robert Montesinos as Guillermo Villanueva, Olivier Richters as Paulie, and Daniel David Stewart as Steven Elliot.
