Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane's romantic drama, Sanam Teri Kasam, made its return to theaters on February 7. Despite facing competition from new releases such as Loveyapa and Badass Ravikumar, the film exceeded its original domestic earnings within just two days. According to Sacnilk, it has achieved the highest weekend box office figures for a Bollywood re-release.

In terms of box office performance, Sanam Teri Kasam garnered between ₹3 and ₹3.25 crore on Monday, surpassing the total earnings of Sky Force (₹0.45 crore), Deva (₹0.50 crore), Badass Ravikumar (₹0.60 crore), and Loveyapa (₹0.60 crore) combined. This brings the film's total earnings to ₹18.50 crore, which is more than double its initial lifetime domestic revenue. However, the producers claim that the film has accumulated ₹22.09 crore at the box office over the weekend.

Film earns more than Loveyapa and Badass Ravikumar combined

The film's opening weekend collection is approximately ₹15.50 crore net, marking it as the most successful weekend for a Bollywood re-release, as reported by Sacnilk. The re-release has proven to be a formidable competitor to new films, with Badass Ravikumar earning ₹6.75 crore and Loveyapa earning ₹5.15 crore, collectively falling short of Sanam Teri Kasam's earnings. The film is expected to continue benefiting from the Valentine's week audience.

When asked about his expectations for the film's performance upon re-release, Harshvardhan Rane expressed to Free Press Journal, "It is a very soothing feeling. This makes you believe in what Shah Rukh Khan sir said (in Om Shanti Om), ‘If everything is not alright, then that is not the end; the picture is still not over, my friend.’ I could relate to that dialogue after nine years of trying, failing, and persisting. It feels like a comforting balm and validates the dialogue that Farah ma’am had in the film."
