Rasavathi, the recently released Tamil film starring actors Arjun Das and Tanya Ravichandran in the lead roles, is now available for streaming on Aha Tamil and Prime Video. In addition, the film will also be available on OTTplay Premium.

Rasavathi is a 2024 Tamil romantic thriller film. It is helmed by director Santhakumar, known for films like Magamuni and Mounaguru. Starring Arjun Das and Tanya Ravichandran in the lead roles, Rasavathi translates to alchemist in English. The film also stars Sujith Sankar as the primary antagonist.
Rasavathi’s plot and screenplay are shrouded in mystery and revolve around a Siddha doctor (Arjun Das) who resides in Kodaikanal, where Tanya Ravichandran joins in as a hotel manager. At the same time, a police official (Sujith Sankar) also takes charge, seemingly troubled by the former’s closeness with the doctor. The rest of the film is about how the three individuals are connected and their pasts coming to the forefront.

The film was shot by cinematographer Saravanan Ilavarasu, with music by Thaman. VJ Sabu Joseph has edited the film, with Yugabharathi penning the lyrics. Rasavathi is backed by Santhakumar under the banner DNA Mechanic Company, with Saraswathi Cine Creation serving as the co-producer.
Rasavathi opened in theatres on May 10 along with Kavin-starrer Star. The film received mixed reviews upon its release. “Rasavathi is an all-over-the-place film that wants you to keep hooked until the final revelation. There is a definite but convenient connect at the end, and all seems to fall into the place, but at what cost?” reads OTTplay review of the film.
Rasavathi is the latest film to be added to Aha’s Tamil content catalogue. The streaming platform has been acquiring the digital rights of many Tamil 2024 releases, including Kurangu Pedal, Hot Spot, The Boys, and Siragan, to name a few. All the above titles are also available on OTTplay Premium.
