In July, the world woke up to the exciting news that Ranveer Singh has teamed up with Aditya Dhar for his next ensemble drama, where Singh will play an intelligence officer. The initial rumors were soon followed by confirmation from Jio Studios, and fans have been eagerly awaiting more updates about this highly anticipated project. While not much has been revealed so far, we do know that the film is rooted in the world of intelligence officers, criminals, and drama. According to the latest report, Ranveer Singh will portray a Sikh man in the movie, and the actor is excited to begin working on the film soon.

Ranveer Singh To Play A Sikh Man

For those unacquainted, it was previously reported that the movie is tentatively titled Dhurandhar and stars R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Akshaye Khanna alongside Ranveer Singh. Written and directed by Aditya Dhar, the film was announced by the studio and was set to begin production soon. According to a new Pinkvilla report, Singh is eager to start filming and will be playing a Sikh man in the film.

“Ranveer is all charged up for the film, as it’s a performance-driven action thriller, revisiting some of the most important chapters in the history of R&AW. It’s a character that requires a certain diction and personality, which Ranveer has mastered. A couple of schedules have already been completed, and he will resume work after his paternity break,” a source revealed.

About Dhurandhar

According to Peeping Moon reports, Aditya Dhar has been working diligently to assemble a stellar cast and is thrilled to have done so with a team led by Ranveer Singh. The script, which has impressed the stars, is set in a similar milieu as Nikhil Advani's much-discussed 2013 film D-Day. In Dhurandhar, Ranveer is set to play an intelligence officer, though further details have been kept tightly under wraps. Aditya Dhar will produce the film with his brother, Lokesh Dhar, under their banner B62 Studios.

Set on a massive budget, Dhurandhar will be produced on a grand scale, with filming taking place in both India and overseas locations. Dhar has reportedly started pre-production and aims to begin shooting by the end of 2024, depending on the availability of Singh and the other actors. However, no official confirmation has been released by the parties involved yet.
