Bollywood actor Sunny Deol's upcoming film, Jaat, is set to be released in theaters in one month. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, this high-energy action thriller unveiled its teaser in 2024, providing a brief insight into the narrative of Jaat. Following the overwhelming response to the teaser, the filmmakers have revealed the character of Randeep Hooda, who will portray the formidable antagonist, Ranatunga. A promotional video showcasing his character has been shared on social media platforms.

Randeep Hooda is poised to confront Sunny Deol in a significant showdown in Jaat. The character promo features Randeep as Ranatunga, depicted in a police station, followed by a scene of him sitting in the rain. The promo culminates with him emanating a threatening aura while gripping a knife, preparing for an intense confrontation.

In a post on YouTube, Mythri Movie Makers stated, "The Nemesis Of JAAT on Mythri Movie Makers. Introducing the phenomenal Randeep Hooda as the menacing 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐀 from the world of JAAT. The stage is set for a ruthless face-off with the JAAT (sic)." For those unfamiliar, the action sequences have been designed by Anl Arasu, Ram Laxman, and Venkat.

The film's score has been composed by Thaman S, with cinematography handled by Rishi Punjabi. In addition to Sunny and Randeep, the film features a talented ensemble cast, including Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher, and Viineet Kumar Siingh. Jaat is slated for theatrical release on April 10, coinciding with the release of Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi's Bhool Chuk Maaf.

In the meantime, Randeep Hooda has appeared in numerous action-oriented films throughout his career. He portrayed ACP Agnel Wilson in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai and played ACP Gautam in the 2013 action-thriller, John Day. Additionally, Hooda took on the role of the ruthless gangster Rana in a film starring Salman Khan, which is currently available for streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium.
